Angela is a Registered Dietitian, mom to three sweet and athletic children and co-founder of Nourished Beginnings. She has over 15 years of pediatric nutrition experience, treatment and education.
Angela has a passion for embracing holistic, evidence- based, simplistic and realistic approaches in managing nutrition related concerns of children to ensure they thrive.
She earned her honours degree in food sciences at Brescia College at the University of Western Ontario and went on to complete her dietetic internship in Calgary. Angela then worked at the Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Center for 15 years until 2018 when she felt the pull to establish Nourished Beginnings with her long time friend and fellow dietitian, Noelle Martin. She knows the need in her community for realistic and accurate nutrition guidance for children is great and hopes to help many on their way to nourishing their bodies safely and well.
Angela’s pediatric nutrition experience has been in numerous areas such as gut health, hematology, iron deficiency anemia, failure to thrive, tube feeds and blended diets, IV nutrition, burns and extensively in cancer care. Her practice goals are to first and foremost promote optimal growth, provide sound nutrition guidance, minimize side effects of treatments, medications and illness and overall ensure children are healthier throughout their nutrition journey.
